Accordion fire curtains were specified to follow the curved balustrade geometry of the upper exhibition floors, while automatic fire curtains formed the primary atrium compartment boundaries at ground level. The brief required full concealment during normal operation — no visible head box, no surface-mounted track — to preserve the architectural intent of the interior.
