Yashobhoomi's expansive halls, interconnected spaces and exceptionally large architectural openings required compartmentation that would control fire and smoke movement without compromising the building's architectural openness. The solution had to protect large openings, integrate with the fire alarm system, and accommodate curtain dimensions far beyond a standard doorway.

Window Techs delivered a combination of automatic smoke curtains/barriers and fixed fire curtains, tailored by zone. Automatic systems were integrated with the fire alarm system and tested for automatic activation, backup operation, emergency override and audio-visual alarm activation as part of commissioning.
Project overview
Yashobhoomi – India International Convention and Expo Centre (IICC), Dwarka, New Delhi is one of India's most significant convention and exhibition developments. Window Techs India Pvt. Ltd. was engaged by L&T Construction as the specialist passive fire-safety partner for fire and smoke compartmentation.
Successfully delivering openings at this architectural scale required engineering, manufacturing capability, technical coordination, certification and site-execution experience - not a catalogue product applied unchanged.
